The 2019– 2020 school year is on a busy downhill ride heading towards summer! The students had an active autumn with beautiful weather that allowed us to be outside for P.E. classes. Each week, students look forward to PE class! Recently, we have been preparing for a few events that occur during Catholic Schools Week.
Catholic Schools Week is a week of faith, fun, and Family (our school family)! Each year at this time, we come together to celebrate our school and our friendships. The seventh and eighth graders will take on Father Dan and the teachers in a friendly game of volleyball. In their P.E. classes, they have been busy improving their volleyball skills. Students in PreK
through sixth grade have been preparing for the Beary Good Mixer and American Heart (AHA) fundraiser. During their P.E. classes, they have been reviewing dances, working on their basketball shots, and practicing their jump rope and hula hoop skills. This year, AHA is asking our school families to join the Heart Heroes in raising money. In 2019, we raised
In April, students in PreK through eighth grade will participate in the annual Saint Charles Walk-A-Thon. Each year the students raise money for Physical Education equipment. Mrs. Kris Gozdan and Mrs. Kathy Davis have once again agreed to Co-Chair this event. Their students will be graduating next year, so they will be looking to train a volunteer(s) to take
their place. A volunteer form will be coming out in mid-March with additional information.
In May, PreK- Eighth graders participate in Field Day. These are fun days and are successful due to the many parents and grandparents that volunteer to help with a station or provide a donation of water and water balloons. I can’t thank you enough for your support of our programs!
Each Eighth grade looks forward to these annual events. The Eighth Grade vs Parent Volleyball Game will be held on Wednesday, May 20 in the afternoon. The exact time is TBA as we get closer to the date. This is always a fun event. The Class of 2020 has completed their Confirmation preparation and will be receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation on
Monday, March 9. Please continue to keep them in your prayers. Finally, they will be presenting the Living Stations on Friday, March 6, at 7 pm. Please join us on our faith-filled journey with Christ.
“Thank You” to the Saint Charles PTA for all their support with our special activities. Thank you to D. J.’s Available for providing music and lights for our special events. Thank you to the parents for sending their children to SCBP School. May you be blessed with God’s love, laughter, and good health!
