During the month of November, our class focused on kindness and service. After morning prayers we recite our Kindness Pledge each day. This reminds us of how to treat others and reminds us of how Jesus wants us to treat others. We have discussed ways in which we can help others in need. Our service project was to collect food items to provide a Thanksgiving meal for a family in need. We have so much to be grateful for, yet there are many who have little or nothing. A great lesson for children of all ages to learn.
In Language Arts, we learn about all the letters in the alphabet and their corresponding sounds. Each week we explore a new letter! Recently, in conjunction with our work on the letter Tt, our class and their families participated in our annual ”Family Fun Project”. The project was to disguise a turkey using various supplies with the exception of crayons and markers. The results are fantastic and very creative!
December is here, which means it will soon be time for our annual Preschool Christmas show. Each year our show stars our three and four-year-old preschool students. Each of our classes will be performing two songs. At the end of our performance all the children will be singing together for our final song of the show. We are all working diligently to learn our songs and we are excited for our families to come and watch us sing!
Every week we enjoy our special classes with our wonderful special teachers. We have Library, Gym, Music, Art, and Spanish/Computer. We enjoy all of our classes and learn so much!
We are looking forward to what the next few months will bring us! Have a blessed holiday season.
