Saint Charles Cheerleading
We are excited for our 2025-2026 cheer season. We thank everyone for your ongoing support and look forward to having a successful season!
Children in grades K through 8 who attend St. Charles Borromeo School or the St. Charles Borromeo Religious Education Program are eligible to participate. Enrollment will be verified to confirm eligibility. Registration by Oct. 10th is required.
This required medical form must be completed by the first practice in order to participate in St. Charles Cheer. This physical form must be signed by a doctor and submitted to the St. Charles school office to be eligible to participate. One form will be required per school year to cover participation in all sports for the 2025-26 school year. Your child’s doctor will complete the form if they had their annual physical in the past year. Therefore, you should not need to make a separate appointment to get this form completed if your child has been seen in the past year for their annual physical. Please do not wait until the last minute to complete this, as it may take a couple of weeks.
The Cheerleading team will cheer for St. Charles Borromeo Basketball teams at home games on Friday evenings or Sundays, and possibly other St. Charles events!
Our program will focus on the basics, emphasizing cheering, jumping, and chanting, to provide excitement and fun during our basketball games. We will not be utilizing extensive and difficult stunts. However, coaches will be properly trained on techniques and mechanics for any stunts performed to ensure children’s safety.
We plan to have two separate squads broken into specific grade ranges, allowing each group to perform more age-appropriate routines, dances, and cheers.
The registration and uniform cost is $100, which does not include sneakers but will include all the uniform pieces and accessories (socks, bloomers, bodysuit, skirt, shirt, and bow). Children will need to purchase their own white sneakers.
The season starts in mid-October and continues through the end of February. Practice days are TBD.
We will have a parent meeting in mid-October in McCusker Hall (TBD). We kindly request that at least one parent attend with their child. We will be measuring the children for their uniforms and reviewing all the necessary information for the season.
NEW COACHES NEEDED
Our volunteer coaches are crucial to the success of our program. We are seeking 1 or 2 assistant coaches. Coaches will need to complete a Virtus training course and undergo fingerprinting. More details will be provided to those interested. Coaching is rewarding and is a great way to get involved in our parish.
