Why We Chose St. Charles - The Hilsee Family

Our family moved to Cinnaminson just as our two oldest girls, Emily and Charlotte, were reaching the age for pre-K enrollment. We joined the parish and were excited to find that St. Charles offered a full-day Pre-K3 and Pre-K4 program, perfect for our family's needs.

From the moment we walked into that first Open House, we felt welcomed and at home-- the warmth with which St. Charles greeted us remains one of the characteristics of this community that we value most.

Emily and Charlotte will both be in middle school this year, and our youngest, Anastasia, is entering first grade. Seeing our girls be greeted by name by every adult that shapes their days at school inspires so much confidence in the individualized attention we know they are receiving.

Whether they cross paths with the principal, the custodians, the specials teachers, or the school nurse, every student at St. Charles is recognized, known, loved, and cared for

We have come to find that the academics at St. Charles are second to none. Our daughters have been challenged even as they have been nurtured, and their development with regard to critical thinking and academic inquisitiveness has been wonderful to watch, even in the early years of their education.

But even more, their development with regard to kindness, inclusiveness, and generosity of spirit demonstrates what is so unique to St. Charles. By integrating a foundation of Catholic values into their day-to-day school routines, the girls have found a community in which they can practice their faith openly and evolve in their understanding of it.

They are also learning about their own abilities to actively participate in and contribute to their school, their neighborhood, and their world. Partnering with a school community like St. Charles in raising our daughters has allowed us to create the village we all hope to have for our families, and we could not be more grateful to have found ourselves a part of it.
