Why We Chose St. Charles - The Baker Family

We first heard about St. Charles Borromeo School from another family when our oldest son, Nathan, was headed into Pre-K 4. We decided to look into St. Charles—and from the very beginning, we felt something special.

The warmth, kindness, and support of the community drew us in, and we quickly knew we couldn’t imagine being anywhere else.

St. Charles gave Nathan exactly what he needed. He came out of his shell, made close friends that I truly believe he’ll have for life, and grew into a confident, joyful boy. Watching his personality blossom in such a nurturing environment was everything we had hoped for—and more.

As parents who both attended Catholic schools growing up, we deeply value the faith-based education, the strong moral foundation, and the emphasis on service and community. But what made St. Charles truly stand out is that it didn’t just give our boys a great education—it gave our whole family a community.

We aren’t originally from this area, and finding a place where we truly felt at home was something we had been missing. St. Charles filled that in ways we didn’t expect. It gave us lasting friendships, meaningful connections, and a sense of belonging.

Now, a few years later, Nathan is in 4th grade, and our youngest son, Thomas, is in Pre-K 4. Seeing both of our boys grow, learn, and be loved at St. Charles has been one of the greatest blessings for our family.
