Why We Chose St. Charles - The Geist Family

As fairly new parishioners to St. Charles, we had always heard wonderful things about the school. When it was time for our daughter to start kindergarten, we knew we wanted her to be in an environment where she could grow in her faith while receiving an excellent education. St. Charles Borromeo seemed like the perfect fit.

We began kindergarten as nervous parents, unsure of what to expect and, honestly, still a little uncertain if St. Charles was the right choice. But shortly into the school year, all our worries were put to rest. The school, church, and community at St. Charles Borromeo are truly something special.

We were especially blessed that God placed Mrs. Vassallo on our path. She was our first true glimpse into what SCB is all about. What could have been a difficult transition was made effortless through the kindness, compassion, and positive energy our daughter experienced each and every day walking into her classroom.

I have been fortunate enough to volunteer at the school, and that experience has given me an even deeper appreciation for what makes St. Charles so extraordinary. Watching the children interact with one another is truly beautiful — they treat each other with kindness, respect, and genuine care. It is heartwarming to see those values in action, a reflection of the faith-based lessons that guide the school’s mission.

We now know how lucky we are to have found St. Charles Borromeo. Seeing our daughter walk through the halls and be greeted by name truly fills our hearts with joy. The genuine care and dedication every teacher shows each student never go unnoticed. We are forever grateful that our daughter attends a school where faith, kindness, and a nurturing education are at the heart of everything they do.

As parents, we could not imagine a more perfect place for our sweet girl.
