My journey with Saint Charles Borromeo School began as a young child, walking these very halls from Kindergarten through 8th grade. It was here that I was taught the core values of empathy, compassion, and faith.

SCB helped build a foundation rooted in love for God and a spiritual connection that has guided me throughout my youth and into adulthood — even during times when I didn’t fully recognize it.

As my husband and I began to grow our own family, my desire to provide that same faith-filled environment for our children grew stronger. I knew I wanted them to attend a school that felt like a family, where God is not only at the center of learning, but at the center of every heart. We wanted them to be in an environment that fostered kindness and care within the classrooms.

When I was given the opportunity to teach at SCB, it felt like a true calling. To return to the place that shaped my childhood and to now shape young lives in the same way is an honor. I believe God led me back to Saint Charles to not only teach academics, but to help children discover the love of God, just as I once did.

Our decision to send our children to SCB was simple. This is not just a school—it’s a family. The teachers know each student by name and have often watched them grow from Pre-K through 8th grade. The educators here teach with kindness and love, and they care deeply about each and every child, even beyond graduation. Watching the teachers tearfully send off the 8th-grade students each year is a testament to how much love and effort are poured into every child’s growth, both spiritually and academically.

One of the many beautiful traditions at SCB is the buddy system, where older students are paired with younger ones. This fosters meaningful connections across grade levels. The older students learn patience and responsibility, while the younger ones gain role models they look forward to seeing and learning from.

Saint Charles Borromeo is a community grounded in faith and love. We pray together, attend Mass together, support one another, care for each other, and grow together. As a teacher and a parent, I couldn’t imagine a more nurturing place for children to learn and thrive.
